This was after the big D13 demo against the EU summit in Brussel in 2001. It was freezing and the water cannon created a thin layer of ice on top of the coblestones, making them very slippery. Behind the gate on the left where a few thousands of peacefull demonstrators on the site of Tour & Taxis, the end point of the demo.
