I’m on the road again next week, hitchhiking to Berlin to visiting some friends there and to check out some of the wagenplatz (wagon places) they have there. I’m living in my van more or less permanently and these kind of Permanent Autonomous Zones have always fascinated me. Even more so after visiting wagon places in Mainz and Frankfurt, talking to the people who live there and seeing the wonderful things they have built. In Belgium there are no places like this, at least not on the same scale, except maybe for La Baraque in Louvain-la-Neuve.
